Das Modul DRS-04 ist ein Erweiterungsmodul für das AIP 6500 Modul, das auf das AIP-Modul gesteckt wird.
Ein AIP 6500 Modul besitzt 2 Steckplätze für DRS-Module. Die Module können sowohl einzeln als auch gemischt auf das AIP-Modul gesteckt werden, für die Funktion des AIP6500-Moduls ist jedoch mindestens ein DRS-Modul nötig.
DRS-Module werden für die Echtzeitbearbeitung der Sprachdaten benötigt, mit den unterschiedlichen DRS-Modulen kann die Anzahl der zur Verfügung stehenden VoIP-Sprachkanäle variiert werden.
Folgende DRS-Module stehen zur Verfügung:
- Modul DRS-04 stellt 4 VoIP-Kanäle zur Verfügung
- Modul DRS-08 stellt 8 VoIP-Kanäle zur Verfügung
